There’s Nothing but Space, Man!

Sam Ryder | Parlophone

Fresh from Eurovision, British singer Sam Ryder releases his debut album, There's Nothing but Space, Man!. Alongside the song which earned him an incredible second place finish, there are plenty of pop-rock ballads, which are both catchy and very memorable. With influences ranging from Elton John to Iron Maiden, Ryder's soaring voice contains a bit of everything. A really promising start to his career and an artist we should be sure to pay attention to.

Premonition

White Lung | Domino

After a six year hiatus, Canadian rockers White Lung fifth studio album has been confirmed to be their last, and what a way to go out. Premonition is about birth and rebirth. It’s about growing—and growing older—without losing the furious energy of youth. This hardcore punk band have been like no other. With high-velocity tempo, melodic vocals and breakneck drums, its a worthy follow up to Paradise. A wonderful farewell from a band at the peak of their powers.

Low Key

Brendan Benson | Virgin

Low Key is the eighth solo album by veteran Brendan Benson. The Nashville artists latest album explores the feeling of solitude, experienced during lockdown. Despite this, he embraces his newly found hip-hop influences, providing upbeat crowd-friendly sing-alongs. Benson plays almost every instrument and despite the album just hitting the thirty minute mark, his latest record is full of surprises. The Raconteurs' co-founder proves once again he can go it alone.

Choosing

Sophie Jamieson | Bella Union

On her long-awaited debut album, newcomer Sophie Jamieson is honest, solemn and absolutely remarkable. A recurring theme throughout Choosing, which is apparent across all eleven songs, is the message of opting to sink or push ourselves above the surface when facing adversity. The self-assured London-based singer-songwriter is sure to instil hope, strength and love. An exhilarating and intimate album, full of highs and lows.
