Never Going Under

Circa Waves | Lower Third

Never Going Under is the follow-up to Circa Waves 2020’s ‘Sad Happy’ and primarily focuses on what lies ahead for us all. Shudall stated that their fifth studio album was “a snapshot of the fear we all feel today and the resilience we will need to get through it.” With impressive production, string ballads and strong vocals, the four-piece indie quartet from Liverpool show that durability and persistence is key when looking past the current climate.

Prize

Rozi Plain | Memphis Industries

Rozi Plain is hypnotic on her fifth studio album. The latest record has everything we have come to expect from the talented London-based musician and she's accompanied by many accomplished artists. Far more intimate than her most recent works, Rozi's heart-wrenching harmonies mixed with gently melodies keep you in a trance throughout each of the ten tracks. With magnificient piano-driven jazz and effortless vocals, Prize is a wonderful work of art.

Turn The Car Around

Gaz Coombes | Gaz Coombes Ltd

English musician Gaz Coombes returns in style on his fourth solo studio album. Dealing with life’s ups and downs, ‘Turn The Car Around’ acts as the final instalment in the trilogy, which includes 2015’s Mercury and Ivor Novello nominated sophomore album Matador and 2018’s World’s Strongest Man. Assisted by his impressive live band, each record provides a sense of adventure. In an album that he has been building up to for the last seven years, the former Supergrass frontman really has saved the best for last.

Other Words Fail Me

WILDES | WILDES

Having been through a traumatic few years, WILDES has finally released her much anticipated debut album. Ella Walker impressed on her two exceptional EPs, that accumulated millions of streams, but she truly steps up on Other Words Fail Me. A truly visceral experience, the London-based singer-songwriter takes inspiration from the likes of Lana Del Rey and Lorde, providing hope, through some heavy subject matter. WILDES has a bright future ahead of her.

Late Developers

Belle & Sebastian | Matador

After the release of their last album, A Bit of Previous, in May 2022, fans were surprised to see the release of Belle & Sebastian’s latest record Late Developers. Full of playful tunes and sumptuous electric guitars, the 12th studio album from the Scottish indie veterans continues their evolution, with a sound that strays from their usual blueprint, leaving your breathless.
