Blue Rev

Alvvays | Polyvinyl

Alvvays euphoric third studio album, Blue Rev, is jangle pop at its very finest. It was a long journey for the Canadian indie rockers to release their latest record, with some of its songs written all the way back in 2017. With ripping guitar solos, punk vibes and stonking production, it was well worth the wait and its an album that is sure to give you goosebumps.

Building on their prolific discography, Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava is the third of five studio albums released by the band in 2022. YTI⅃AƎЯ

Bill Callahan | Drag City

“Rouse their love, their kindness” says Bill Callahan on the motivation behind YTI⅃AƎЯ, his eighth studio album. A natural follow-on from his Gold Record release in 2020, the American singer-songwriter draws inspiration from his own life across twelve beautiful songs, just an hour long. With hushed sounds and multiple voices hiding behind each delicate track, YTI⅃AƎЯ is both poignant and charming.

Tableau

The Orielles | Heavenly Records

Quite a departure from their previous sound, English indie rock trio The Orielles experiment further on Tableau, their third studio album. The bands latest release is ambitious and diverse, exploring emotion through abstract sounds. Their latest offering is captivating and bold, leaving us on the edge of our seats, desperate for more.

Capricorn Sun

TSHA | Ninja Tune

British dance producer TSHA brings her intricate, electric sound to her promising debut album, Capricorn Sun. Although it contains some darker themes, the general tone of the album is empowerment and celebration. Citing influences from the likes of Bonobo, Jon Hopkins and Four Tet, TSHA’s soothing, angelic harmonies, mixed with rave euphoria makes for a truly exceptional album.
