We are proud to announce that the new Monitor Audio Silver 500 8G has received an Outstanding Product Award from Hi-Fi News. In his review, reviewer Paul Miller praised the Silver 500 8G for its ability to combine scale, power and refinement, describing it as a speaker that delivers an “exciting, large-scale delivery” with “bold transients, deep bass notes and huge swells that sounded ready to burst”.
The review also highlighted the speaker’s “resolution and tonal subtlety” and the ability to “pick a path through complex mixes" while remaining an effortlessly engaging listen across a wide range of music genres.
Miller further praised its ability to generate “plenty of drama from a powerful, extended bass response”, alongside “plenty in the way of fine detail and insight”, while describing performances as “hypnotic stuff, skilfully rendered”.
The review concluded with Miller stating that “there’s always room for a model as stylish and well-made as Monitor Audio’s Silver 500 8G – more so when it sounds so appealing”, adding that the speaker is "value for money personified”.
