Project One was given the brief: create a stylish two-storey extension that seamlessly balances everyday family living with a passion for music and entertainment. The vision was to design a luxurious master suite and dressing room alongside a statement kitchen and social space, complete with a central DJ setup and an exceptional sound system capable of transforming the home into the ultimate weekend venue.

The client lives a dual lifestyle: dedicated family life during the week and an active presence in the electronic music scene at weekends. The challenge was to create a space that effortlessly delivers both.
Project One incorporated custom features into the design, including a purpose-built DJ station, tailored extractor hood, and ribbed panelling concealing storage and utility areas. While the aesthetic remains clean and understated, the space is packed with hidden technology and handcrafted details, resulting in a home that feels elegant, functional, and ready to perform when the music starts.
At the heart of the space is a discreet yet powerful Monitor Audio custom installation system. Four Monitor Audio Creator C2L-CP in-ceiling speakers provide detailed, room-filling audio, and the Monitor Audio IWS-10 in-wall subwoofer adds the low-frequency impact needed for both music playback and live DJ performances.
The system is driven by a Monitor Audio IA125-4 amplifier and IWA-250 subwoofer amplifier, always ensuring effortless performance. An IMS-4 Music Streamer provides seamless access to streaming services and allows for future expansion into additional rooms throughout the home.
Together, the solution delivers the perfect balance of discreet design and high-performance audio, giving the client a space that works just as well for everyday living as it does for weekend entertainment.
“Project One installed the Monitor Audio tops in our ceiling and sub in the wall. The tops are great and really crisp, but the sub is amazing! It rounds off the whole sound, and, to be honest, it sounds like a nightclub in our kitchen now! We are very, very happy with it.
