The new high-frequency C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter has been comprehensively optimised with a vented design and internal enclosure geometry to reduce distortion and improve airflow, and an updated compression ring geometry and new ring neodymium magnet for increased magnetic efficiency. With the use of the latest UD Waveguide II, the Silver Series drivers deliver a more stable, consistent performance across all listening levels.
The RST III driver and motor system have been carefully re-engineered to deliver greater transparency and control through the critical vocal range, whilst the updated cone geometry increases rigidity and reduces colouration. A newly developed progressive spider, an upgraded voice coil and improved venting system ensure enhanced linearity, airflow and power handling.
Featuring the new Silent Flow Port Technology, Silver Series 8G takes bass performance to the next level. By increasing the port diameter, turbulence is reduced significantly compared to previous ranges. The new port design also features an innovative flare geometry, inspired by the interlocking wing feathers of an owl, which guides airflow smoothly through the port and minimises chuffing for cleaner, deeper bass.
The crossover design for Silver Series 8G has been upgraded from the previous range, with high-quality components, for more precise signal division and minimal colouration. Carefully selected capacitors, inductors and resistors improve electrical performance and reduce losses. The result? Tighter integration between drivers, enhanced clarity across the frequency spectrum, and a more coherent, natural soundstage.
Silver Series 8G Outriggers take their cue from the flagship Platinum Series 3G, ensuring a wider, more stable foundation. Engineered for both form and function, they feature a discreet top-adjust mechanism hidden beneath a spun metal disc, allowing precise levelling without disrupting the clean aesthetic.
Through-Bolt Driver technology ensures the Silver 8G C-CAM drive units are securely braced to the rear of the cabinet and tightened to a specific torque, with the drivers and cabinets remaining structurally strong and removing any unwanted chassis resonances and strengthening the overall cabinet rigidity.
Throughout all the Silver Series 8G models, rigid internal bracing and damping are utilised to reduce resonance and panel vibration, improving transient response and overall sonic accuracy.
