We spoke to Instagram follower @noblerecords about his audio equipment, record collection and his favourite album

When did you start collecting records?

I started collecting records when I was 12 years old. My mother bought me a 7” single of Don McLean’s “American Pie”. I was fascinated by how it all worked, what made the music come from this disc? I bought my own turntable at a thrift store and never turned back.

What is your favourite record?

My favourite record is my 1st UK pressing of Led Zeppelin I, with the turquoise Lettering, and incorrect “Superhype” label. Extremely rare, possibly the most sought after Led Zeppelin rarity.

Who is your favourite artist/band?

My favourite band is Led Zeppelin. The first time I heard Zeppelin as a kid, my heart skipped a beat, and I had never heard music with that kind of power before.

What is your favourite music based magazine?

Psychedelic Baby magazine, focused on rare and obscure psychedelic musicians and albums, another big interest of mine.
