Jack White | Third Man
American singer-songwriter Jack White brings his evolving style, but same blistering energy on his fourth solo album. Although brief, Fear of the Dawn is a fascinating listen, as White pushes the boundaries, without losing sight of his signature sound.
The Regrettes | Warner
LA punk rockers The Regrettes return for their imaginative and heartfelt third studio album. Further Joy is a positive step into the band’s next era, and whilst touching on subjects such as anxiety and mental health, their message is clear, as they look to better things.
Daniel Rossen | Warp
On his debut solo album, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Rossen brings his familiar sound on You Belong There. After the lengthy hiatus with Grizzly Bear, Rossen performs almost all of the parts on the album himself, with his acoustic guitar strings and jazz numbers flourishing.
Syd | Columbia Records
On her second studio album, progressive soul singer-songwriter Syd pours her heart out. The story follows her own relationship with both touching and dark moments throughout, Broken Hearts Club displays Syd's vulnerable state, but elevates her to new heights, as her angelic voice mixes beautifully with a wonderfully sequenced album.
Hannah Peel & Paraorchestra | Real World Records
Conducted by Charles Hazlewood, composer Hannah Peel brings us a perfect partnership with the Paraorchestra. With wonderful melodies, acoustic and electronic instrumentals, this remarkable collaboration takes us on a journey of the human existence.
