We spoke to Instagram follower @yellerledbetter about his audio equipment, record collection and his favourite album

When did you start collecting records?

I started out with collecting CDs and tapes when I was a kid. I got a Turntable from my brother in 2006, and started collecting some records. My main focus was still CDs though. In 2015, I got myself a Pro-Ject Turntable and really noticed a huge difference in sound quality. That's when I really started collecting, and playing records exclusively.

What's your favourite record?

My favourite record is a tough one, because it changes a lot. It really depends on what I'm into at the moment. But if I really have to pick one I'd go for Queen - A Night At The Opera. This was my first ever album.

What's your favourite band?

My favourite bands is Queen. I’ve been a fan since I was 7. However my interest shifted when I was a teenager. I started listening to Metallica and Guns ‘n’ Roses. Later I discovered Pearl Jam and I was hooked! I still am a huge Pearl Jam fan. Pink Floyd and Dire Straits are also huge favourites since I was young.

What's your favourite music based magazine?

My brother used to have a weekly subscription to a Dutch music magazine called "oor". I read those a lot. Nowadays I sometimes pick up any magazine that features one of my favourites bands.
