We spoke to Instagram follower @sozz_g about his audio equipment, record collection and his favourite album
When did you start collecting records?
I’ve been a music lover ever since I was a child, worn out about 3 or 4 Sony Walkmans, then CDs, MP3s and FLACS, and only started collecting records about 4 years ago, inspired by a work colleague.
What is your favourite record?
Don’t have one favourite record. I listen to a very broad spectrum of music from hard rock to jazz, from 80s disco to neo classical, from blues to house and from 90s euro dance to hip-hop. Hard pressed I would probably say Grammy Award-winning Herbie Hancock’s ‘River: The Joni Letters’.
Who is your favourite artist/band?
Again, I couldn’t decide, but if I were to be stranded on a desert island, I would like to have my Sade Adu and Gregory Porter records with me.
What is your favourite music based magazine?
I don’t read any music magazines, I get all my music news / discover new artists here on Instagram, thanks to the great audio community.
